Iván Simonovis
Iván Simonovis serves as Director of LATAM & Government Affairs, where he leads the firm's strategic engagement across Latin America, focusing on government relations, institutional partnerships, and regional advisory initiatives. With a distinguished career spanning more than four decades, Iván is widely recognized as one of Latin America's most accomplished law enforcement and public security professionals. Beginning his career as a detective in 1981, he later founded Venezuela's first tactical police unit, the Brigada de Acciones Especiales (BAE), in collaboration with international partners, including Germany's GSG 9 and U.S. law enforcement agencies.
He subsequently served as Secretary of Citizen Security for the Capital District of Caracas, overseeing metropolitan security operations and implementing comprehensive public safety strategies to strengthen law enforcement capabilities and urban security. Throughout his career, Iván has operated at the intersection of government, security, and international cooperation, advising on public safety, institutional reform, and cross-border security initiatives.
His leadership is defined by deep regional expertise, trusted government relationships, and the ability to navigate complex political and regulatory environments.
