Hugo Hira
Hugo Hira serves as Associate Partner for Brazil, where he supports clients across the public and private sectors with security risk consulting, investigations, and operational security expertise. He brings more than three decades of experience as a security professional, legal specialist, and former law enforcement officer.
A graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Social Sciences, Hugo served for 33 years with the Civil Police of the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Over the course of his career, he worked across a range of specialized units, leading high-risk operations and investigations targeting organized crime. He is a certified instructor in firearms and marksmanship, police tactical operations, and defensive, evasive, and offensive driving.
Following his retirement from public service, Hugo transitioned into the private sector, providing specialized consulting in risk assessment and security inspections. His work focuses on the analysis and mitigation of risks associated with cash-in-transit operations, valuables custody, banking activities, and precious metals mining, and he has advised international insurance and reinsurance markets on complex security and operational risk matters throughout Brazil.
As Associate Partner for Brazil, Hugo combines legal knowledge, law enforcement leadership, and operational security expertise into strategic risk management support for clients operating across the region.
